Non-list equipment orders

Last updated on 28 June 2023

If the item you wish to order is not in our ACC equipment list, you can create a 'non-list' equipment order. To ensure your client receives the correct and complete item(s), you will need to provide an assessment report and may need to provide quotes. Please follow these guidelines.

Before ordering non-list equipment please note:

  • Non-list equipment under $100 is not covered under the MRES contract.
  • Non-list equipment can be trialled if this service is offered by a New Zealand supplier.
  • Non-list equipment may take longer to source and deliver, depending on product availability (from 3 working days to 8 weeks). Please check availability with the equipment supplier before ordering.
  • Our professional advisors review all requests for non-list equipment that are either over $1,000 (GST excl.) or non-disability, retail shop products.

Assessment reports are required

A relevant assessment report is required for all non-list equipment requests.

Quotes not required if exact product in inventory

You don't need to provide a quote if you can find the *exact* product, with a price, in our ACC MRES inventory. For example:

Quotes required for accessories and if product is not in inventory

A quote is required if you can't identify the exact product (including exact size, and with a price) in the MRS App inventory.

A quote is required if you are ordering equipment with accessories, for example:

  • power wheelchair with accessories
  • standing frame with accessories
  • bed with accessories
  • cushion with cover
  • back support with bracket.

If you have added the inventory base item in your order and you also require accessories, you need to add an additional equipment line (‘ENON -as quote’) and add a quote. This will ensure the accessories are provided along with the base item.

Use 'ENON-As quote' code

Use 'ENON - As Quote' code in your order and attach your quote(s) to your order. Please ensure quotes contain the suppliers details. If we find the same item at another supplier for a lower price, we'll purchase it from that supplier instead.

  • Enter the supplier in the 'Supplier' field.
  • Enter the quote number and a brief description in the 'Quote ref' field.

Final quotes after successful trial

After a successful trial you may need to upload a final quote: For example, if:

  • the original trial quote has changed or expired
  • the supplier provides a final quote post-trial.

Update the quote reference number if it has changed from the original quote supplied.
