Equipment, Spectacle and Hearing (ESH) apps

The ESH (Equipment, Spectacles and Hearing) App is used to request Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People funded:

  • EMS equipment
  • DHB service accreditation list equipment
  • Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People children’s spectacle subsidy claims
  • Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People hearing aid service subsidy claims and funding applications.

Using the ESH web applications

Our Equipment, Specs and Hearing apps are web applications that allow users to request Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People funded equipment for eligible disabled people.

Log in to the Equipment app

Request Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People funded equipment for eligible disabled people.

Go to Equipment app (external website)

Log in to the Specs app

Request Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People funded equipment for eligible disabled people.

Log in to the Hearing app

Request Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People funded equipment for eligible disabled people.

What you need to use the ESH apps

  • Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge internet browser
  • Your ESH app login
  • Access to the EMS Portal Tool if you are requesting Band 2 and 3 equipment. This is because you will make the request directly from the portal.
